Nada Schroer

Nada Schroer studied cultural studies, political science and Spanish studies in Leipzig as well as the staging of the arts with a focus on the visual arts in Hildesheim. At the Kunstverein Hildesheim und Kunstverein Braunschweig she was involved as curatorial assistant and co-curator in the organization and conception of solo and group exhibitions (e.g. Liebe Deine Maschine, 2015; final goods, 2016; Process, Performance, Presence, 2016; Promises of Monsters, 2017). She is a co-founder of KUNSTRAUM 53 in Hildesheim, where she initiated the Curator’s Kitchen series of events and worked as an art mediator at the Sprengel Museum (Hanover) and the House of World Cultures (Berlin). Most recently she took part in the program Cultures of Curatorial at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig, in the course of which she was involved in various projects, including the Grassimuseum für Völkerkunde in Leipzig (Vom Zeigen und Schauen, 2017). Her research interests include technical philosophy, science fiction and the aesthetics of man-machine interfaces in contemporary art, technofeminism, critical art mediation, and gestures of the (post-)curatorial.
