Daniel Bartel

Consultant & Entrepreneur

Long before I started my dual studies as a service manager at IBM, I had a fascination for technology and people as well as innovative and sustainable business models. My then boss, lateral thinker and CTO of IBM, Professor Gunter Dueck, inspired me to become an entrepreneur.

In 2010 I won the first Startup Weekend in Germany and accompanied the peer-to-peer car sharing platform Autonetzer.de. In 2015 the startup was sold to Drivy. Privately, too, I live sustainable and “shared” collaborative consumption whenever possible. I report on my varied experiences as a start-up in the sharing economy at numerous events and I am happy to share my varied knowledge with other founders and innovators.

I professionalized my great passion for innovative products by training in Design Thinking at the Hasso Plattner Institute Potsdam and visiting Stanford University. I was also trained by entrepreneurship professor Steve Blank as a Lean Launchpad Educator and worked together with Alexander Osterwalder, the founder of the innovation tool “Business Model Canvas”. I live the unique combination of disruptive creativity, lean start-up agility and entrepreneurial culture every day as a doer, coach and trainer in my own start-up projects and as a permanent team member at MAK3it. I am always thrilled to spark a spirit of innovation in students, scientists and employees.
